SUSAN WADE, LVN

After twenty years of raising her family and working in various fields outside the home Susan returned to school.  In December of 1992 she graduated from the Vocational Nursing Program at McLennan Community College and shortly thereafter became licensed as a Vocational Nurse.

Upon graduation Susan went to work at Providence Health Center as a staff nurse on the Four (4) South wing which is primarily for orthopedic and neurosurgery patients.  She gained invaluable hands-on experience working with neurosurgical patients who were recovering from surgery.

Susan joined the staff of Neurosurgical Associates in 2000 as a surgery scheduler and continues assisting Dr. Masaki Oishi in that position today.  Susan works directly with patients to obtain insurance authorization required prior to surgery, scheduling surgery and guiding patients through the process of what to expect before and after surgery.  Patients truly appreciate Susan’s expertise and compassion.

Susan is married and has two adult children and five grandchildren.  Susan is an avid reader, gardener and cook.

JOY SCOTT, R.N.

In 1995 she accepted the position as head nurse of the Four (4) South wing  where neurosurgery patients are sent to recover following surgery.

In 1999 Joy joined the staff of Neurosurgical Associates where she enjoys talking with patients and assisting them before and after surgery.  Patients will meet Joy when she accompanies Dr. Oishi into the exam room and she is always happy to answer any questions you may have.
