All requests for medical records must be in writing with a current (not more than six months old) signed authorization from the patient. Medical record requests are processed weekly from our office by a third party medical records processing company. Information contained in our medical files is strictly confidential and will not be released to any person or agency without written consent from the patient.

According to the Texas Medical Association guidelines for release of medical records, fifteen (15) days must be allowed for the processing of medical records. Due to the efficiency of our system records are normally processed within ten (10) working days.
